  • PROGRESSION OF SELF @ Watt Space Student Gallery 11 February - 01 March 2015

A collaborative exhibition by Tilley Wood and Liss Finney. This show is the culmination of an idea that begun with Liss and Tilley’s Directed Studies during this past semester at the University of Newcastle. Liss and Tilley sought to throw themselves into areas of art which they had previously unexplored. For Liss it was the complex subtlety of the world of portraiture, for Tilley it was the challenge of producing personally reflective art. The work is an exploration of creative potential outside their fields of expertise. Its success has not just required the attainment of technical skill and courage; but the significant commitment of one’s whole self to artistic thought and process. Evidently, this body of work is not so much a culmination but a starting point for life long progression of self. ***Opening night 6:30pm Thursday 12th February.*** Watt Space Student Gallery: Cnr of Auckland and King St, Newcastle NSW 2300. Open 11am - 5pm Wednesday to Sunday.
